XO Game ("we," "our," or "the app") is a Tic Tac Toe game for Android developed as a single-player and two-player mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the app operates.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used. By downloading or using XO Game, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
Information We Collect
XO Game collects only the minimum data required to provide core game functionality. This data is stored exclusively on your device using Android's SharedPreferences storage mechanism.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any other technology to identify or monitor individual users.
How Data Is Stored
All data generated by XO Game is stored locally on your Android device using the Android SharedPreferences API. This is a standard Android storage mechanism that saves key-value pairs in a sandboxed, app-specific location on your device.
- Data is stored only in the app's private internal storage on your device.
- No data is ever uploaded to, or stored on, any external server or cloud service.
- Data persists between app sessions until you manually clear it via the Settings screen or uninstall the app.
- Uninstalling XO Game permanently deletes all locally stored data.
How We Use Data
The data stored locally on your device is used solely to provide and improve your gameplay experience within the app. Specifically:
- Score Tracking: To display cumulative win/draw counts for X, O, and AI across sessions.
- Game History: To present a list of recent game results within the History screen.
- Settings Persistence: To remember your preferred board size, dark mode, timer, and sound settings between sessions.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, research, or any purpose beyond providing the features described above.
Third-Party Services
XO Game does not integrate any third-party SDKs, services, libraries, or frameworks that collect data. Specifically, the app does not use:
- Advertising networks (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, etc.)
- Analytics platforms (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
- Crash reporting tools (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- Social login or authentication services (Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, etc.)
- Cloud storage or database services (Firebase Firestore, AWS, etc.)
- In-app purchase or subscription services
The only external dependency is the Flutter framework and Dart SDK (provided by Google), which are used solely to build and run the application. The shared_preferences Flutter plugin wraps the native Android SharedPreferences API and does not transmit data externally.
Children's Privacy
XO Game is suitable for all ages, including children under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy, we confirm the following:
- The app does not collect any personal information from users of any age.
- The app does not display any advertisements.
- The app does not contain any links to external websites or social media platforms.
- The app does not include in-app purchases or monetization of any kind.
- The app requires no account creation or login.
Parents and guardians can allow children to use XO Game with complete confidence that no personal information is collected or shared.
App Permissions
XO Game requests the absolute minimum Android permissions necessary for operation. Below is a complete list of all permissions used and the reason for each:

Data Security
Because XO Game stores data exclusively on your local device and transmits nothing externally, the security of your data is inherently protected by Android's built-in application sandboxing model.
- App data is stored in a private, sandboxed directory inaccessible to other apps (unless the device is rooted).
- There are no servers to breach, no databases to hack, and no passwords to steal.
- We recommend keeping your Android operating system updated to benefit from the latest security patches.
While we take appropriate measures within the app, please be aware that no method of storage is 100% secure. If your device is compromised by malware or physical access, locally stored app data could potentially be accessed.
Your Rights and Choices
Since XO Game does not collect or process personal data on any external server, traditional data rights (such as requests for access, rectification, or erasure from our systems) do not apply in the conventional sense. However, you retain full control over all data stored on your device:
- Reset Scores: Navigate to Settings → Reset Scores to permanently clear all win/loss records.
- Clear History: Navigate to History → Delete icon to permanently clear all game history.
- Reset All Data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
- Device Settings: You can also clear app data via Android Settings → Apps → XO Game → Clear Data.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), California, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights. Since we collect no personal data, we believe we are fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations. If you have concerns, please contact us.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable laws, or our practices. When we make significant changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
